![]() That’s all changed with Touchgrind Skate 2. Due to that, the “game-ness" of Touchgrind suffered, and it ended up feeling more like a glorified tech demo. It was strictly top-down, which was a great way to easily interact with the board but was a horrible way to ever tell where you were going in a level. The larger problem was the game’s perspective. Its trick system had a fairly steep learning curve, but not one that couldn’t be overcome with some practice and dedication. The only real problem was that Touchgrind was a pretty difficult game. Using your fingers as little virtual feet to manipulate a virtual skateboard offered an unprecedented level of interaction and closeness with the game that couldn’t be matched. Now, before anyone goes over-thinking this, it doesn’t necessarily mean our Game of the Week pick is the highest scoring game in a review, the game with the best graphics, or really any other quantifiable “best" thing.
